I was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1964. In 1991 I completed my agricultural studies at the University of Sarajevo. I received my doctorate in Germany with a scholarship at the agricultural faculty in Weihenstephan. Since then, I have been committed to promoting exchange between Germany and my homeland. I was involved in various initiatives to promote cooperation between German and Bosnian companies and schools. During these projects, I experienced many disappointed farmers who were unable to sell their crops due to a lack of markets. This situation gave rise to the idea of ​​bringing forest products from Bosnia and neighboring countries to Germany. What began with the import of a small amount of dried forest mushrooms developed into a business model for high-quality branded products under the Dr. Ana Collection. The history of how “AnaVita” came about has meant that we see sustainability not just as a trendy topic, but rather see sustainability on all levels as a business model of the future.
